Alyssa Caverley graduated from McMaster University in Canada.  She worked at Microsoft Canada before coming to the Missouri School of Journalism to study broadcast journalism. She is currently working on a project about informational reality television and how the genre fits into traditional journalistic standards.

She is expected to graduate in 2010 and hopes to find a job in non-traditional broadcast media working in niche interest areas including specialized reality television programming.  She is also interested in entertainment news and how the genre affects people's perceptions of celebrity and themselves.
