Scott Kleinberg is the resident iPhone blogger for iPhone, Therefore I Blog. He is the social media director and the web editor for Chicago Now, a RedEye blog.

Kleinberg started the blog in 2007, just a few weeks after the original iPhone came out on the market.

Although he is a big proponent for the iPhone, he also believes that Facebook and Twitter will be changing the media landscape.

“Facebook and Twitter are the future of journalism. Crowdsourcing information in real time delivers a faster story than anything else we can do traditionally via an interview.”

When asked which apps were currently on his phone, Kleinberg says that he has a multitude of apps for different things:

“My iPhone has a number of apps, from PageOnce Pro for keeping track of bills to WriteRoom for simple processing to Angry Birds for stress relief and downtime.”

When it comes to journalism though, Kleinberg says that the need for immediacy will definitely change the media landscape.

“There are no more traditional tools. Mobile technology like laptops and iPhones have already changed the way we gather and share news, whether it’s an iPhone or Twitter. It’s all about who gets the story first and that means video, photo – everything needs to be done in the field. I don’t even really use a notebook for anything – I type everything into my iPhone.”
