Reynolds Fellow develops app where players compete to save Earth

A high-tech scavenger hunt that challenges players to take better care of the Earth is under way on the University of Missouri campus.

At its core, Reboot Mizzou aims to show participants creative ways to be environmentally friendly. But it is packaged in a way that makes it entertaining for students, said Hannah Sims, a graduate student and organizer.

Reboot is the brainchild of Peter Meng, a fellow at the Reynolds Journalism Institute, and Steve Burdic, MU's sustainability coordinator. They met during a Mizzou Advantage event at which Burdic complained that he wasn't getting sustainability messages across to students.
